About the show:
Part ritual, part therapy, part queer chick meeting, Song About Anxiety 2.0 is the second part of the concert performance, featuring original work by Afrolatinx actor, writer and Golden Anthem winner Jaime Cepero. The audience should be ready to laugh, think, dance, and tune all their chakras! Customers can expect to hear old and new songs from the composer’s catalog, including works from projects in development – including the highly anticipated new musical FRANCOIS & THE REBELS. Inviting special guests from the television, Broadway and recording artist fields.
The currently confirmed guest performers for “A Song About Anxiety” include Jason Veasey (A Strange Loop), Kevin Curtis (Moulin Rouge), TAYLOR BLACKMAN (Tina – Musical), KRISTINA Nicole Miller (Disney’s Lion King), JADA VALENCIAGA (Wig! HBO), Destan Owens (Rent, The Life), Michael Fisher (Americas Got Talent), Cartreze Tucker (The Color Purple) and GENESIS CALLADO. New songs and arrangements were written by Cepero, with a four-piece rock band consisting of Sean Murphy (bass), Drew Cooper (guitar), ORION TURRE (drums), led by Music Director Darnell White (piano).
