RESPECT National Tour Comes to King’s Theatre in October

The King’s Theatre will host the RESPECT National Tour from October 6-8, 2022, the ultimate tribute to the legendary Queen of Souls Aretha Franklin. From the producers of “The Simon and Garfunkel Tale,” RESPECT is an exciting musical theatre experience that brings together a community through timeless music that tells the complex human condition, to America’s most A passionate and extraordinary musical tribute to one of the popular singer-songwriters.

Produced by Right Angle Entertainment, Maple Tree Entertainment and Quatro Entertainment, RESPECT tells the story of Aretha Franklin’s brave life of love, tragedy and triumph, with a soundtrack that makes her an iconic and unparalleled soul queen.

RESPECT USA Tour Adapted by Jamal Howard, Broadway Directed by Christina Sarus (SpongeBob SquarePants, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, American Idiot, Baby Is You), Music Director Darnell White (Revelation: The Musical, Gospel In Colonus), and directed by Tracey Moore (creator of Crackle’s “Black Box”, founder of Spirit Actor Studios; in partnership with Miramax, Fox, MTV, Spike Lee and national commercials ) corner selection.

RESPECT stars Trejah Bostic as lead vocals (Rosie Revere engineer and friends with TheaterWorks USA and Celie’s Regional Purple), Megan Dawson as host 2 (Catherine Parr’s six musicals on Bliss Cruise), Nattalyee Randall as host 1 (Peacock TV Film “Walking Ghosts,” director and executive producer of the documentary The Race Against Race, which premiered at DOC NYC.), and Ashton Weekes as host 3 (“Mindfreak,” his latest on Blck Mrcy Recordings Version). RESPECT also features a live band of 5 musicians.

More than a concert, RESPECT is a one-of-a-kind Aretha experience with hits including “Natural Woman,” “Thinking,” “I Know You’re Waiting for Me,” “Chain of Fools,” “Respect” and There are many. The new North American production is based on McKee Entertainment’s Australian touring smash hit RESPECT – The Aretha Franklin Story, starring Angie Narayan (Australian Idol), which continues to sell out in audiences across Australia.

RESPECT’s national tour kicks off on Thursday, October 6th at the King’s Theater in Brooklyn. The official opening night of the tour will take place on Friday, October 7, with the final show in Brooklyn on Saturday, October 8.
