Richard Coyle, last seen in the Olivier nominated West End ink, Returns to the London stage on 15 August as Atticus Finch in Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s stage play to kill a robin At the Gielgud Theatre, succeeding current star Rafe Spall.

Also joining the cast that day was Olivier champion Neil Badge (dead funny, noble) as Judge Taylor. Spall and Jim Norton, who currently play Atticus Finch and Judge Taylor respectively, will have their final show on August 13th.

Orchestra and students include Helen Belbin, Laurence Belcher, Paul Birchard, Ryan Ellsworth, Rebecca Hayes, Danny Hetherington, Matthew Jure, Anna Munden, Tiwai Muza, Oyin Orija and Itoya Osagiede, with Candida Caldicot on organ and Ciyo Brown and Jack Benjamin on organ and guitar .

The film, directed by Tony Award-winning Bartlett Shearer, opened with previews at the Gielgud Theatre on March 10, followed by its official opening on March 31.

On February 26, 2020, just a few weeks before Broadway shut down, Broadway actors gave a history-making free show to 18,000 schoolchildren in New York City at Madison Square Garden. Robin, The show resumes on Broadway in October 2021, with its final show at the Schubert Theater on January 16. The acclaimed production is scheduled to reopen at the Velasco Theatre on Broadway, with a date to be announced by Greg Kinnear’s return to the role of Atticus Finch.

In Alabama in 1934, Harper Lee’s enduring story of racial injustice and childhood innocence centers on small-town lawyer Atticus Finch. The cast includes Atticus’ daughter Scout, her brother Jem, their housekeeper and caretaker Calpurnia, their visiting friend Dill, and a mysterious neighbor, the reclusive Arthur “Boo” Radley.
