The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki bears a striking resemblance to Princess Diana as she filmed the late royal family’s family holiday with her two sons.

The 32-year-old actor takes over the role of Emma Collin, while Dominic Cooper replaces Josh O’Connor as King Charles III in the Netflix blockbuster.

This isn’t the first time the Australian actress has been spotted filming scenes documenting royal history for the show, she has also been seen in her last public appearance before Princess Diana’s death and on set at Dunsfall Airport.

This week, the Creed star joined Rufus Campa, who plays the young Prince William, and Prince Harry actor Will Powell in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

When they recreated Princess Diana’s trip to the south of France in July 1997, the three were seen frolicking on a boat while the family stayed on a yacht owned by her partner Dodi’s father, Mohamed Alfayed.

The holiday comes a month before Princess Diana and Dodi were killed in a car crash in Paris after being hunted by paparazzi.

Elizabeth wore sunglasses and a red shift dress, while Rufus and Will wore matching outfits, both wearing a navy polo collar and white chinos.

The Great Gatsby actress took ‘Prince William’ by the hand as she boarded a luxurious surfboard floating in the crystal blue sea.

The three actors can be seen laughing and having deep conversations as they speed around the bay.

“This season is going to surprise people for a lot of reasons,” said the DJ who hosts The Crown podcast.

“It’s always like that because it’s a new cast. We’re used to Olivia [Colman] and Josh [O’Connor] and Tobias [Menzies] and Emma [Corrin] and Helen [Bonham-Carter], we have a whole new cast. It’s almost like it’s always been them. When you first see them on screen, you’ll find that you haven’t breathed for three minutes — that’s all there is to them.

When asked to describe the fifth season (no spoilers, of course), Edith simply declared: “Unprecedented.”

The Crown is available on Netflix
